Photoshop CS3 and Canon CR2 files?
I have CS3 and when I try to load the Canon CR2 raw files used to open with, she says she does not know this extension file. I tried to convert the images to DNG on the bridge, but does not give the option. The only way I can get photos in CS3 is loaded through Lightroom 1.4, also have elements 7 and have no problem at all. Is there a discount rate that should be looking for?
What Canon camera model you have? If it is a very recent model, then you have the latest Speed camera raw, and another poster noted, the most recent versions 5 does not work in CS3. The options are to open and save over 16-bit elements as PSD or TIF and then open the file in Photoshop CS3, or use of conversion software own premium charges. You can check what cameras are compatible with the camera raw update on the support pages at Adobe.
