With a soft focus effect, is highlighting the blurred and diffuse. When creating soft focus in the camera with a soft focus filter or lens, is that whites, highlights that blend in the darker areas.

- Go to Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur.
The image must be blurred at this stage too, so entering a higher value as 30, although this may depend on the resolution of the image. - Go to Edit> Fade Gaussian Blur.
- Change the Normal mode to Lighten.
- The amount of blur can be controlled here, so reduce the opacity to 90%. OK.
This is the kind of effect achieved when a soft focus filter used in the camera lens. - Open the History palette and click the Create New icon snapshot in the bottom of the palette.
- Even in the History palette, click the open state, which has the image back to before applying the Gaussian Blur.
- Use Ctrl + F / Cmd + F to reapply the filter.
- Go to Edit> Transitional Gaussian Blur.
- Change the mode to darken.
- Reduce Opacity to 80%. OK.
This is the kind of effect achieved when a soft focus filter used on the lens of the enlarger when printing a negative. - Open the History palette and click the icon at the bottom to create a snapshot of the image.
- Toggle between 1 and Snapshot Snapshot 2 for compare the two images.
No images can save their state, while the story is active.
One seems more romantic and one can look in a bad mood or with the right subject may seem sinister.
Different blending modes can really transform an image and produce results interesting, changing the appearance of an image.
