Photoshop Elements 6 – Bugs gone?

I'm considering the purchase of Photoshop Elements 6 in the near future. I'm upgrading from a previous version, Photoshop Elements've never had before. I was reading reviews on amazon.com that there are some mistakes with this new version (released in October 2007) – Somebody knows from personal experience if these bugs have been fixed? Would you recommend the program? I'm looking for some good editing software, so if you have suggestions to improve programs, I'll take them! Thank you.
